The tests included braking performance in both wet and dry conditions, a slalom, lane change activity, and a short off-road course. For further consistency, two identical Isuzu D-Max LS-U utes were used, with all tyres being 265/65 R17 size.
The Results of the Tests: Falken Wildpeaks came out on top overall after all categories were scored together. The results showed that these tyres had good traction in wet and dry conditions, excellent wet braking by a larger margin, and great control during lane changes and slalom tests. On top of that, they also performed well in off-road conditions with plenty of grip when cornering.
The other tyres tested included Pirelli Scorpion All-Terrain Plus, J-Trax A/T, Bridgestone Dueler A/T 697, BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain A/T KM3, Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac Yokohama Geolandar X-AT GO16 and BFGoodrich All-Terrain. All of these tyres performed well in most categories but did not match up to the Falken Wildpeak AT3W in regards to overall performance.
